40 weeks.
I’m tagging this one from the “personal” files.
I’d like to meet you now.
Yes, I realize how that sounds. I’ve grown impatient. I’ve never been good at waiting. And I’m even worse at not knowing.
The truth is, we’re incredibly blessed and BOY do we know it. In these last few weeks and days, it’s even more evident. Well wishes are abundant. Notes of encouragement. Offers of prayers and assistance. And the very present realization that we’re going to be parents again is just making our hearts overflow with joy and thankfulness.
It’s easy to feel discouraged and anxious. But I’m choosing the opposite. Longer hugs (even with an awkward belly in the way) with the littles. Enjoying the sunshine with a slight chill in the air (yay for the coming of fall!). Logging some much needed couch time with the Hubbs (I owe him some major shoulder and foot rubs once this little guy arrives!).
Do I struggle? Ummm… YES! In fact, come to our house around 9 p.m. at night and you’ll see me struggling to make my way around the house, tired from the day and mentally checked out from, well, just being. But I’m writing this here as a reminder to myself that I’m choosing the opposite of anxiousness, stress or the fear of not knowing. It helps me stay accountable!
So. That’s that.
NOW! On this fine Wednesday, I’m giddy over the Libby Hilf Photography feature in the most recent edition of WHIRL Magazine’s Wedding edition. It’s so fun to see the story of one of my spring wedding couples in print with images from their day.
I’m also really looking forward to seeing some return clients next month and meeting some new ones as well. The details for the November Holiday Minis are nearly complete as well. If you’re interested and have not yet been in touch with me, send a note to libbyhilfphotography@gmail.com and let me know you’d like to be on the email list for when the slots open up. They’ll go fast!
I hope your day is filled with sunshine!
